Location: Georgia - Atlanta

Summary: Utilizing our Ultimate Payroll system, compile and record employee time and payroll data. May compute employees' time worked, production, and commission. May compute and post wages and deductions, or prepare paychecks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned.)

  • Review time sheets, work charts, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
  • Process paperwork for new employees and enter employee information into the payroll system.
  • Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, and post information onto d designated records.
  • Compute wages and deductions, and enter data into computers.
  • Record employee information, such as exemptions, transfers, and resignations, to m maintain and update payroll records.
  • Process and issue employee paychecks and statements of earnings and deductions.
  • Keep track of leave time, such as vacation, personal, and sick leave, for employees.
  • Compile employee time, production, and payroll data from time sheets and other records.
  • Distribute and collect timecards each pay period.
  • Issue and record adjustments to pay related to previous errors or retroactive increases.

    Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     Education and/or Experience: High school or general education degree (GED) preferred; one to three months related experience and/or training, preferably in previous payroll work; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Language, Mathematical and Reasoning Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents (such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals), write routine reports and correspondence, and to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Spanish bilingual abilities preferred. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, in addition to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions (in mathematical or diagram form), and to deal with several abstract and concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

    Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have Ultimate Payroll experience, knowledge of Internet, Microsoft Office Suite software (such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and etc.), and order processing systems (such as AS400 / Alpha Database software, Logility, Microstrategy, and etc.) or the aptitude to learn.
