Director of Finance
Willingboro Municipal Utilities Authority, located in Willingboro, NJ, is seeking a qualified experienced candidate for the position of Finance Director. With an annual budget of $13.4M, the Authority serves 13,000 accounts along with bulk water sales to and sewage treatment for adjacent communities.
The Finance Director will ensure all proper controls and systems are in place and enforce or ensure compliance with finance related laws and regulations.
This position reports directly to the Executive Director and is primarily responsible for planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all finance related activities including managing staff functions to establish and maintain consistent application of processes and procedures. The individual will oversee all Authority financial functions including G/L, A/R, A/P, purchasing, budget preparation, banking, insurance, and payroll. The individual must have a thorough knowledge of public finance and purchasing, public contracts law and municipal bonds.
Experience with NJEIT/H2Loans desirable. CPA preferred. Experience with Edmunds software a plus.
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in finance, accounting, public administration or a related field and a minimum of five (5) years’ experience involving governmental finance and accounting is required.
