Senior/Investment Analyst

As a Senior/Investment Analyst, you will be responsible for the following:
- Establish & maintain the investment portfolio for TFCU
- Research & work with vendors in developing new investment & ALM strategies - and in other areas deemed needed by the CFO
- Provide analysis of market trends & data for the Asset/Liability & Finance Committee, and the Board of Directors
- Liaison between TFCU, and any vendors related to investments & ALM
- Exercise appropriate independent judgement through research and analysis regarding all decisions regarding company investments & ALM strategies
Salary Range:
The starting salary range for Investement Analysis is $72,706 and Senior Investment Analysis is $87,182; however, actual placement within the range will be determined individually based on your experience relative to organizational needs and internal salary equity.
Education/Experience:
Investment Analyst:
You must have a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field and five years’ experience or equivalent combinations of education and experience are required. Experience in portfolio management or ALM modeling that includes sophisticated investment securities with variable cash flows at a comparable size and complexity portfolio and financial institution preferred. Applicable financial institution and/or military experience may be substituted for education at the rate of two years of experience for one year of education.
Senior Investment Analyst:
You must have a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field and eight years’ experience or equivalent combinations of education and experience are required. Experience in portfolio management or ALM modeling that includes sophisticated investment securities with variable cash flows at a comparable size and complexity portfolio and financial institution preferred. Applicable financial institution and/or military experience may be substituted for education at the rate of two years of experience for one year of education.
Keys to success:
In order to be successful as a Senior/Investment Analyst, you must possess these qualifications:
- Valid driver's license maintaining an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Certification - Preferred
- Knowledge of investment regulations for credit unions
- Knowledge of interest rate risks, credit risks and rate/value characteristics (market volatility) of securities considered acceptable for purchase
- Ability to effectively translate and communicate technical information and concepts to individuals with limited investment knowledge
- Experience and familiarity with use of Bloomberg analytics and research
