Job Responsibilities: The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina is accepting applicants for a Payroll Manager in the Finance Department. Responsible for the processing of the colleges semi-monthly payrolls, process payroll related payments and reports.
In addition, will be responsible for the following: -Reviews the timekeeping system for accuracy and.comletion, calculation of final termination pays, and any manual adjustments to timesheets. -Responsible for certain deductions and benefits. Monitor use of leave and.com time and tax exemptions. -Act as main contact to faculty, staff, and vendors regarding payroll matters. -Prepare requests for payment of payroll taxes, deductions, and benefits. -Submit semi-monthly, monthly, and quarterly payroll reports. -Coordinate with HR, IT, and Budget regarding payroll processing. -Ensure the college follows all federal and state regulations pertaining to payroll processing.
Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree and knowledge of.comon payroll processing procedures required as well as understanding of payroll laws and regulations. A minimum of 5 years of payroll processing experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree. Familiarity with.comuterized accounting system as well as various.comuter software. Extensive knowledge of spreadsheets
Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with Banner systems preferred.
