A/P-Bookkeeper
Job Summary: Perform day to day accounting functions.
Major Duties: • Accounts Payable and bill reconciliation • Daily deposits and associated research • A/R • Preparation and posting of GL/CM entries • Credit card support & reconciliation • Bank reconciliation • Misc other reporting
Responsibilities: • Manage full process of A/P for Operating Account (Business Works) and specific payables for reservation system. Review invoices for appropriate documentation, distribute and review for authorized signatures, research payments and history when necessary and issue payments. GL coding for the majority of invoices. • Respond to all vendors inquiries and assist other departments with A/P issues. • Reconcile credit card statements and expense reports. Research and correct discrepancies. Create corresponding credit card entries into reservation system. • Research incoming deposits that have no backup. • Prepare and post A/P reclass entries and other entries as needed or requested. • Contact travel agencies and vendors for 1099’s and maintain the database for W9’s. • Bank reconciliations. • Fed Ex and monthly Travel Agency reporting • Filing paperwork. Yearly filing for storage. • Assist others with special projects as needed. • Other assignments, projects, and duties as may be requested.
Qualifications: 1+ years previous bookkeeping or industry experience required. Proficiency in excel, typing and 10-key. Must have strong work ethics and be self motivated and have the ability to work in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness. The position requires strong problem solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, mathematical computations skills, research and resolutions skills, data analysis, organizational, prioritizing, and multi-tasking skills.
Physical Demands: This job will require long term sitting at a computer, filing and occasionally lifting of boxes.
Work Environment: Minimum 3 days a week in Glenwood Springs office and flexibility to work from home 1 to 2 days a week.
