The Laurens Central School District is currently accepting applications for a Deputy District Treasurer. The successful candidate will be responsible for payroll functions, accounts payable, banking and reconciliations, insurance benefits, and general office procedures. Candidates must have a minimum of an HSE diploma and 3 years of experience maintaining financial accounts. The Deputy District Treasurer supports the School District Treasurer in overseeing the district's financial operations, ensuring compliance with educational finance regulations and maintaining fiscal integrity. Responsibilities include assisting in budget development and monitoring, managing accounts payable/receivable, processing payroll, and preparing financial statements and reports for school board meetings and audits. The Deputy Treasurer ensures proper allocation of school funds, maintains accurate records, and supports financial planning aligned with district goals.
