Power Line Construction & Maintenance Instructor
Mitchell Technical College is seeking a full-time instructor for the Power Line Construction and Maintenance program with an emphasis in the installation and construction of underground systems. Instructor is responsible for developing lesson plans; teaching assigned courses; assessing student progress in the classroom, laboratory, and field settings; developing and updating curriculum; and assisting with recruiting and advising students.
Candidates should have their Journeyman lineman certification in addition to having a minimum three years’ experience in the industry or related work experience. Applicants should also have the ability to communicate effectively, master change, work in groups, and have a strong customer orientation.
Preference will be given to applicants who have related industry experience, teaching experience, evidence of teaching skills, ability to create lesson plans, and experience working with diverse student populations. Excellent time management, organizational, and attention to detail are a plus.
Position begins August 1, 2022.
Candidates must be able to pass a state and federal criminal background check.
