Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable Specialists
Gaston College is seeking to fill the following positions:
Payroll Specialist - Prepare institution’s monthly payroll and maintain related files; process financial reports including, but not limited to, monthly and quarterly reports, fiscal year-end reports, calendar year-end reports, and all benefit reconciliations. Minimum Education Qualifications: Associate degree from a regionally accredited institution in accounting, business, or a related field required. Minimum Experience Qualifications: One year of accounting and/or payroll experience required; two years of experience preferred.
Accounts Receivable Specialist - Sponsorship Office - Perform various accounting duties pertaining to the accounts receivable function. Enter various student charges, maintain all billings and files for third-party agencies and students, analyze and prepare data for all refunds, process student payments, and answer incoming student calls. Prepare daily bank deposit and daily cash analysis. Assist with the collection process and the monthly reporting and analysis process. Participate in the registration process. Minimum Education Qualifications: Associate degree from a regionally accredited institution in accounting, business, or a related field required. Minimum Experience Qualifications: One year’s experience in an accounting/business environment required; Two years’ experience in an accounting/business environment preferred; Experience with Ellucian Colleague preferred; Capability to work independently, possess excellent customer service skills, and ability to interact positively with students, faculty, staff, and third-party agencies required; Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required.
Assistant Accounts Payable Specialist - Perform various diversified duties that involve independent judgment in accordance with established procedures; process accounts payable; solve problems; assist the Accounts Payable Specialist with processing requisitions, purchase orders and blanket purchase orders, maintaining related files, and resolving E-Procurement issues. . Minimum Education Qualifications: Associate degree from a regionally accredited institution in accounting, business, or related field. (Required). Minimum Experience Qualifications: Minimum of One-year experience in accounting required; two years preferred; Experience with North Carolina’s E-Procurement purchasing system preferred; Working knowledge of operating standard office equipment and related tools and technology required; Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required; Strong organization skills and demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment required.
