The City of Mentor is seeking an individual to work as an Administrative Assistant II in the Finance Department. This full-time position is responsible for department-level administrative work requiring the application of considerable independent judgment, initiative and discretion while operating within the margins of department policies and procedures. Excellent customer service, attention to detail, and computer skills are required with demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word. Work would include the areas of municipal income tax compliance, insurance, legal claims, and record requests. High school graduate (GED) supplemented by college-level course work in business; considerable relevant experience; or any equivalent combination of training and experience required. Annual range of pay: $38,245 - $59,705 (DOQ) plus a comprehensive benefits package.
