Assistant to the Borough Manager
Looking for a job that makes a difference? Join the Kennett Square Borough team! We are looking for an Assistant to the Borough Manager to work on a variety of high impact, high visibility projects.
The ideal candidate: A self-starter who is looking to work hard, learn, and contribute to a team. A Master’s degree in Public Administration and/or Planning is preferred and work experience is not required, though a potential benefit. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are a must, as is an ability and willingness to work independently. Spanish language proficiency is desired, though not required. An equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience may be considered. Must possess, or be able to obtain, a valid State of Pennsylvania Driver's License, with an acceptable driving record.
The job: You will be asked to do anything and everything in this fast-paced environment. Work involves project and program management spanning administration, IT, grants, communications, and planning functions. Tasks and projects will be fluid, so a comfort with rapid change and ambiguous direction is needed. This role will provide the perfect person with a substantial amount of mentorship and opportunity for growth.
