External Job Description:
The Store Sales Analyst is responsible for identifying business impacting patterns in store sales and traffic through in-depth analysis, testing, and reporting. This individual is also responsible for ensuring accurate and timely distribution of sales related reports and supporting various other sales motivation and awards programs.  They will work with field leadership team and sales/operations team.

40% -- Field Sales Analysis and Support:
 

  • Analyze sales and traffic using regression testing and other tools to identify future areas of opportunity as well as support setting appropriate goals and payroll investments to support opportunities
  • Support timely sales reporting at all field levels (Stores, ASL, etc.)
  • Support stores and field leadership with sales and payroll hours related questions - researching questions and working with team to answer or resolve
  • Executing system adjustments to support unique business situations after verifying direction with leadership
  • Create ad-hoc analysis as needed to support sales related initiatives (i.e. bonus plans, contests, store open hours questions, field tests, etc.)

30% -- Store Traffic Counter Analysis and Forecasting:
 

  • Timely and accurate reporting of brick and mortar traffic results
  • Researching adjustments to determine accuracy of traffic counts and adjusting as needed
  • Support forecasting of store traffic to determine customer traffic labor demand

30% -- Field Organizational Structure System Support:
 

  • Support ASL realignments and changes through systemic updates in coordination with the Sales System Administrator (Retek, etc.)
  • Assist in coordinating Store/ASL/MSL sales contest goals, updates, and results
  • Support reporting for various awards programs: MBA, etc.
  • Provide back up support to the Sales Systems Administrator as needed

10% -- Special Projects:
 

  • Work independently to create various systems, gather input on past events, and keep team informed of progress
  • Support Field Sales through the completion of special projects as assigned

Requirements:
Work Experience & Education Requirements

Education:
 

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred

Experience:
 

  • 0-2 years retail experience preferred

Skills:
 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Access Database Queries and Programming, Excel, Word, and SQL Knowledge
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills including use of regression testing and other analytical tools
  • Good decision making and project management skills
  • Working knowledge of reporting systems
  • Uses resources to maximize success, action oriented
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to ask good questions and listen to others
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and remain flexible with competing demands
