Job Description

The Senior Software Product Analyst position is responsible for analysis, design, testing, and ultimately the success of the Infinite Campus suite of business administration products.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in the areas of benefits, payroll and timekeeping
  • Proactively lead initiatives toward a positive project, product or process outcome.
  • Exhibit innovation in the development of new/improved methods or approaches to problems.
  • Mentor other Software Product Analysts.
  • Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders regarding project progress and issue escalation.
  • Participate in the evolution/implementation of product development processes and tools.
  • Lead and facilitate agile planning, estimation and communication.
  • Recognize technical problems or design flaws and recommend preventive or corrective action.
  • Identify and implement ways to reuse components across designs and/or projects.
  • Monitor education regulations and/or industry competition and identify changes in requirements or functionality.
  • Break down high-level business cases into functional and/or regulatory written requirements and UI designs.
  • Perform analysis/verification, ensuring that requirements are consistent, concise, comprehensible, verifiable, and based on department Best Practices using the documentation template provided for this purpose.
  • Work with team members to ensure that requirements are interpreted and fulfilled correctly.
  • Conduct formal user feedback sessions and collaborate to determine how requests fit into product development. (Users include district or States Department of Education personnel.)
  • Work with Architecture to identify entity relationships and abstract them to common, reusable schema.
  • Test product functionality; analyze and debug product issues.  
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders such as channel partners, product managers, support representatives, client executives, architects, developers, technical writers, project managers, and quality assurance personnel.
  • Proofread customer-facing product documentation.
  • Conduct Knowledge Transfers/Mind Melds when needed.
  • Create and deliver presentations to various internal/external users with varying levels of product knowledge
  • Access Infinite Campus production customer data and production data in public test  adhering to the practices and procedures outlined in the master security guidelines
  • Other related duties as assigned

 

Desired Background

  • Prior experience with benefits, payroll and time keeping software programs, preferably in the K12 market.
  • BA/BS Degree and five years business analysis experience OR eight years business analysis  experience
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Technical competence, particularly in the area of relational database management systems and web-based software applications
  • Documented track record showing solid leadership and facilitation from project inception to project completion
